RCAG has formally submitted an outline proposal for the Carrigfadda public walk and Amenity area to Peter O'Rourke, forest manager with Coillte Teoranta.

RCAG has already secured funding from Cork County Council to cover some of the costs associated with the project, and hopes to secure the rest through the Forestry Service administered Neighbourwoods Scheme. Eugene Curren, the Forestry Service representative who administers the scheme in the area was also sent a copy of the proposal and is enthusiastic about it's inclusion in the scheme.
