There were five McCarthy families in Cashel. This man was an uncle of the late Andrew McCarthy of Cashel and the late Jer McCarthy the square Rosscarbery. Presented by Johanna O’Callaghan in memory of her parents Daniel and Bridget. These are my great grandparents. They are also the great grandparents of our PP Fr Pat Walsh. I wonder what their thoughts are when they look down on their great grandson saying mass on a Sunday morning. Strange that my great grandaunt Johanna erected one of the Stations of the Cross in this new chapel, because coming from Kilmacabea parish she would have been one of those who were upset by the transfer of her townland to Rosscarbery parish. 14. Presented by John Crowley in loving memory of his parents Timothy and Mary Crowley upper Froe RIP. These were the ancestors of Danny Crowley of Froe and the Crowley family Castleventry. |
