The coastline of West Cork is dotted with secluded coves and stunning beaches, with great places for swimming, fishing, boating and all of the other coastal pursuits you could ask for.

West Cork is also one of the best places to see whales and doolphins in Europe, with common and bottlenose dolphins and minke, fin and humpback whales spotted regularly just off the coast.

Rosscarbery is a small town just 3 miles from the house, and offers a wonderful mix of restaurants, bars and other facilities. It is renowned for its great pubs and traditional music.

The local beach, The Warren Strand, has been awarded the European Blue Flag award, and is ideal for swimming. It is patrolled by lifeguards during the summer months, making it a particularly popular spot for those with young families.

Rosscarbery is a walkers’ paradise and offers walks to suit all ages and abilities.
